Purpose:
|
To evaluate the efficacy of feeder vessels ligation during the pars plana vitrectomy of retinal capillary hemangioma.
|
|
Methods:
|
A report of24 years old man with tractional retinal detachment secondary to retinal capillary hemangioma treated with pars plana vitrectomy and tumor feeder vessels ligation.
|
|
Results:
|
The day after the operation retina was completely attached and it remained stable during the 9 months follow up.Visual acuity was improved from light perception to 0.2.
|
|
Conclusion:
|
pars plana vitrectomy and tumor feeder vessels ligation is an effective treatment of retinal capillary hemangioma.
