Purpose:
|
To evaluate the results of Ophthalmic Artery Chemosurgery (OAC) for Retinoblastoma
|
|
Methods:
|
A total of 114 ophthalmic artery chemosurgery (OAC) cessions were performed in 33 eyes of 30 patients . Mean age of patients was 23.6 months. Mean follow up duration of this retrospective study was 20 months .OAC was performed via direct intraarterial injection of chemotherapeutic agents

Results:
|
19(57.6%) of tumors were in group D and 14 ( 42.4%) were in group E .A total of 9 (27.3%)eyes were enucleated between 1 to 8 months after the last cession of OAC. So the anatomical success rate was 72.7% .
|

Conclusion:
|
OAC can be used for advanced primary retinoblastoma and in recurrence after failed other treatment.
