Purpose:
|
To evaluate the effect of Radiesse filler gel in improvement of enophthalmos on unilateral anophthalmic patient
|

Methods:
|
In a case series study, patients with asymmetric enophthalmos more than 3 mm was selected, enophthalmos, MRD1 and MRD2 was evaluated preoperatively, 1.5 cc Radiesse was injected in deep socket. All above parameters rechecked 1 Week, 1 Month and 4 Months after procedure

Results:
|
12 (5 females, 7 males) patient was included in study, mean age 34.9 (21-72years) the mean enophthalmos was 3.91 mean MRD1 was 2.16 and mean MRD2 was 5.66 preoperatively. Enophthalmos was improved significantly and remained effectively trough 4 months. Change on other parameters wasn’t statistically significant.

Conclusion:

Radiesse gel can increase in socket volume significantly. This is a less invasive procedure in patient with deep socket and may be able to first choice therapy in the future.
